                             What We Do For You

Areas of Responsibility Include:

  • Renovation and New Construction Planning

  • Major Project Manangement

  • Facilities Design Work

  • Campus Master Plan

  • Capital Improvement Planning

  • Space Planning

  • Facility Records Management

We work with you directly to achieve the following:

  • Alteration - the rearrangement or conversion of internal space within an   existing facility.

  • Improvement - the addition of quality features to an existing space by upgrading mechanical, electrical, technological systems or architectural finishes.

  • New Construction - The erection of a new facility or addition/expansion on the exterior of an existing facility.

  • Renovation - The total or partial upgrading of a facility to higher standards of quality and efficiency.

  • Space Allocations - FP&C works with requests for changes in space allocations after they are first handled and approved within a department.

How the Process Works

  1. Identify your basic need(s) first and write them down. You may want a new wall or a complete renovation of your space. Discuss these needs with your department head for initial departmental approval.

  2. Once approved, contact our department by filling out the "Project Development Request Form" seen below under item 6.  Once this is done, you will be directed to a manager who will discuss your needs, review your scope of work and generate a Project Approval Form, (PAF).

  3. A PAF identifies the department and contact person,  work requested, justification of request, an estimate of costs, and a place to identify the funding source(s).

  4. Once the PAF is approved, FP&C will develop a set of bidding documents in our department or with architects and engineers for contractors to price competitively.

  5. Once prices are received and approved, we enter into a formal agreement with a contractor for the construction of your project. A FP&C manager will be responsible to see your project through to successful completion.

  6. As the initial step of developing a project with FP&C, please fill out the following Project Development Request Form.
